Wedding Bells | My Bridal Shower

Hi There! I mentioned yesterday that I was going to be rebooting my Wedding Bells series and I figured what better way to start than with my bridal shower. Although it took place on June 22nd of last year, I want to share it because I can’t get over how beautiful it was and I think the theme is still super cute and relevant for any future brides.

I did not throw my own bridal shower- my mom, sister and my wonderful bridal all came together with ideas and truly made my Pinterest board come to life! The event took place at the beautiful Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, CT. I knew the date of the event but I did not know what was in store when I walked through the doors.

Linking my dress here! It was sooooo perfect for the occasion. My shoes were very comfy and were great for all events that come along with being a bride. I got them from DSW on clearance for under $35 I believe. I can’t find the exact ones but linking a few options that are similar: Option 1Option 2Option 3

The theme of my shower was Kate Spade which is just a mix of black and white stripes, hot pink and gold. Even before I was engaged, I wanted to have a party with this theme- I just think its so fun and cute! I suggest that if you’re not throwing your own shower to have a Pinterest board with your theme/ ideas and to let whomever is throwing the shower to view it- that’s what I did and my bridal squad nailed it!

Absolutely adorable! Each one of my bridesmaids took on a specific task and brought everything together. I just love the little personalized details and the thought that went into each thing. Most of the items were homemade of bought on Etsy. Links to some of the items here: Guess How Many Kisses SignWishing Well BannerBlack and White Stripe Ribbon.

The beautiful Mrs. Boffoli floral sign was hand-made by my sister. She bought Styrofoam letters and hand-glued mini faux flowers to the front and then glued them on to a painted piece of wood- came out so beautiful and I’ll be sharing with you how I repurposed it in a blog post to come!

The flowers were ordered in bulk and my bridal party assembled them themselves- so stunning! The wishing well is simply a laundry basket with a sign which is such a great idea because it can actually be used later on.  Even the favors for our guests were on point. My sister individually wrapped beautiful, white 3-section serving trays in black and white striped paper with a hot pink ribbon. The exact favor trays are no longer available but I linked similar ones here.

Shower would not be complete without some delicious desserts! Soooo to be perfectly honest, most of our celebratory cakes come from Stop & Shop! Believe it or not, they have THE BEST tasting cakes for a grocery store. The vanilla cake with cannoli filling and whip cream is my family’s go-to. Don’t expect an elaborate design but as far as taste goes, they definitely get an A+. The other cake is a delicious Neapolitan from Martine’s– also our go-to for this specific type of cake and the design is just to stunning. The doughnuts were simply store-bought Entenmann’s Variety Pack with little ring picks from Etsy. Now the main attraction was the adorable little Kate Spade cake which was made by Cake Designs by Jenna– her stuff is not only beautiful but tastes amazing as well! She also made the cupcakes and cookies shown.

Another fun little detail was having all of the bridal party in coordinating colors to the theme. I think it makes for great photos and really showcases the important ladies who helped bring everything together. I really cant thank them enough especially my mom and sister for making this day so wonderful!
