My Eyebrow Microblading Experience

Eyebrows are single handedly one of the most important features of your face. In recent times, filling in your eye brows has become not only a makeup trend, but a way of life! There are so many brow products and ways for us to achieve flawless brows. I’ve tried powders, pencils and even gels and yes, they temporarily work but it is a huge pain in the a$$ and can become very time consuming. I’m someone who tweezes my brows because I literally trust no one with them! It would be so amazing just to wake up and have perfectly arched and even brows.

Over the past year or so, I’ve heard about this procedure called Microblading. If you are not already aware, Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure in which pigment is implanted into your first layer of skin using a very thin needle or blade to resemble “brow hairs”. In other words, its a semi-permanent tattoo. Now if you’re anything like me, you might be thinking there is no way in hell I would ever “tattoo” my face. But after looking into it further and dreading the constant struggle of achieving perfect brows, I decided to go through with it!

I googled places in my area that do Microblading and none of them were really giving me the confidence I needed to go forward with it. After all, this is a pretty serious decision to have something permanent on your face. I found out that the procedure can cost anywhere between $300-$1,200 depending on where you go and what you’re looking to have done.

About ten years ago, one of my aunts had an esthetician come to her house and apply permanent eye liner on some of the ladies in my family (I was too young at the time). Similar to Microblading, permanent eye liner is a tattoo needle that is applied to your waterline or lash line to create a permanent eyeliner effect. Anyway, they absolutely loved it and just recently reached out to the same esthetician to have it reapplied. Semi-permanent makeup can last for several years depending on how well you take care of it. For example: sun, certain makeup removers or constant rubbing can fade the makeup and over time will eventually wear it off.  During their second application about a month ago, they got to talking to the lady and she had mentioned that she does Microblading. When I found this out I was so excited and ready to get it done! I knew I wanted to go with her because I trusted that she would do a good job. She showed me a few before and after photos of clients she had done and I was really impressed!

I scheduled my appointment and three weeks ago had it done! I was super nervous because I’ve never gotten any tattoos or had anything permanent like this done to me. She started by asking me what I was hoping to achieve and what color I normally fill in my brows. She has a wide variety of brow colors to choose from. I showed her a few pictures of what I wanted and she had me pencil in my brows the way I normally do with the product I usually use. FYI, I always used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo. She grabbed a ruler and measured my brows to my face and with her own pencil started filling them in to show how they were going to look. All these years I, like most people have been doing it all wrong!

The diagram shown is a quick  summary of how your brows should technically be sculpted to fit your face. Obviously, I have no time to whip out a ruler on myself and start measuring. This is perhaps why my brows have been a mess for all these years. IMG_0590

Next, she took a needle and did three injections on the upper part of my brow to help numb the area. It was a little painful and there is something about needles that just freaks me out. She waited a few minutes and then began the “tattooing.” With swift, thin motions she drew on hair-like lines.

I asked a few of the other ladies who got it done prior to me how it felt. Most of them said it wasn’t that bad but I’m going to be very honest and say that it friggin hurt! Some areas weren’t as painful but for me, the beginning part of my brow hurt the most. For whatever reason, my right brow (which was the first brow done) hurt more than the left. It’s very possible the numbing solution injected was not dispersed all the way through but I definitely felt each stroke. From what I recall, it took about 45 minutes per brow which is an average amount of time. As soon as she lifted the needle, the pain went away and I barely felt any discomfort.

I took before and after pictures because I wanted to document what my brows looked like prior. Please excuse the “before” picture. I can’t even believe those were what my brows looked like- its actually scary. I never really liked my brows but I really didn’t think they were THAT bad until I got them microbladed.

Directly after getting them done, my esthetician told me put a cold compress on the area to keep the swelling down. As you can see in the “after” photo, the area was a little red and swollen but nothing too bad! She also said the color will be darker immediately following. Similarly to a tattoo, the area will peel and fade and in about two weeks, the true color of the pigment will come through. For a week after, I was instructed to apply Bacitracin to help heal the area and prevent an infection from happening. I was also told not to be in the sun but its summer and there was no way that was happening. I just put block around the area and wore a hat to cover it.

It has been three weeks and now that the area is fully heeled, I absolutely love the way they look and the color they turned!

In my honest opinion, I would 100% recommend this procedure. I love waking up in the morning and having my brows ready to rock. It seriously takes several minutes off of my makeup routine (which in the morning feels like hours!). I’ve also been to the beach/ pool a few times since getting it done and its so amazing to not have my brows sweat off and look perfect even after being in the water.

If you are thinking of getting it done, here are some key pointers that I think are good to make note of:

  1. Is it worth the money? I ended up paying $375 and as I’ve mentioned pricing varies depending where you go and what you want done. I thought that was extremely reasonable and I would have paid double that to achieve the look I was going for. If you’re not someone who fills in your brows every day then maybe it wouldn’t be worth it. I do have and grow hair easily on that area but I know there are many ladies out there who have overplucked brows that no longer grow or lost their brows with age and this procedure is absolutely perfect for you!
  2. Is the place you’re using creditable? This is probably the most important thing to research. You have to be very careful when choosing where you go. The reason I chose the lady I went to is because she’s done procedures on people I know and she is licensed. She uses the most state of the art equipment and products and was informative about the before effect, procedure and after care. She’s also very clean and sanitizes all of the equipment she uses.
  3. Do brows really matter to you? For me personally, this was up there on the list of things important to my beauty routine. I feel like when my brows aren’t done, my face is not complete. If you are someone who already has decent brows or doesn’t mind filling them in, then I would skip the Microblading.
  4. Are you willing to spend money on the upkeep? As discussed, Microblading is Semi-Permanent. They say the brows may need to be touched up every year but it all depends on how you take care of them. I’ve been told the upkeep is not as pricey as the initial procedure if done in a timely manner, but it will eventually need to be done again. Also, after your brows are completely heeled, you may need to go through with a second session shortly after to fill in areas missed or darken the color. Each case is different.
  5. Can you handle pain? I thought I had a high tolerance for pain but to be perfectly real with you, it was pretty painful for me. Even though it hurt, I am definitely willing to go through it all again to keep them looking perfect. After all, beauty is pain!

Monthly Favorites | July 2017

Can you believe it’s almost the end of July? I feel like this summer is moving way too fast and I’m not happy about it! Before we know it will be Labor Day and we’ll be kissing our tans goodbye…

While the summer is here and in full effect, I wanted to share a few of my current faves that I’m loving this month!

1.Straw Clutch Bag H&M$17.99 $9.99

This clutch is the perfect summer accessory. The gold braided detail on the flap dresses it up but because its made of straw it can be worn in a more casual way. I’m able to wear it with everything- it’s so neutral! I also like that it has a “wristlet” strap so its really comfortable to carry. I fit a small wallet, my phone, my keys and a few of my favorite makeup products with plenty of room for more essentials. I just checked the website where I got it and I believe this color is sold out. I linked the exact same bag in the gold color which is just as beautiful. I had a difficult time deciding which one to get and now that I see its on sale, I might get the gold too (shhhhh)!

2.MAC Cosmetics Lipstick / Fruity Juicy (Color: Calm Heat) MAC– $17.00

I had mentioned this lipstick in my 1st ever blog post introducing the limited edition MAC Fruity Juicy collection. Just to confirm, I am still very much obsessed. The color of Calm Heat and the packaging is just so summery. I bring it with me everywhere I go! I stocked up on this lipstick so before this collection retires, I have a few on-hand. I suggest anyone who loves nude lipsticks, gives this one a try!

3.Urban Decay Beached Bronzer (Color: Bronzed) Sephora– $28.00

I’m super picky when it comes to bronzers and I am so glad I found a new bronzer I love. Aside from the adorable packaging, this bronzer is really pigmented and the perfect color to add warmth to your skin without overdoing it. I just brush a little bit on my cheeks and I have a natural glow. I think it comes in a lighter shade which would be great for fairer skin tones.

4.Quay x Desi High Key Aviator Sunglasses (Color: Gold/ Gold Mirror Lens) Bloomingdales– $65.00

Since the spring, I have really become obsessed with adding sunglasses to my collection. I bought a few pairs from Quay and a couple of other brands but so far the Quay x Desi High Key Avatiors in the gold color have been my favorite. Although Aviators are a classic sunglass (I don’t think they will ever go out of style), I hate the way they look on me! I’m probably the only one that feels this way but I love oversized sunglasses and Aviators are usually not big enough- until I tried these! They’re so big and cool looking! The color is so perfect for summer and goes with any outfit I put on. I think the color gold in general is a true summer color. When you have a tan and you wear something gold, it just looks so amazing together!

5.Ideal of Sweden Fashion Case (Style: Monstera Jungle) Ideal of Sweden– $29.99

So if you can’t tell, I have a slight obsession with palm print and I am so thankful it is everywhere this summer! About a month ago, I came across Ideal of Sweden on Instagram and I just HAD to buy one of their cases- they’re so trendy and fun. I immediately put this case on as soon as I received it and I have yet to switch to any of my other ones! Every time I look at it, it gives me immediate island vibes and puts me in the happiest of moods! I feel like some people don’t realize how much your phone case can accessorize your outfit. I mean in the grand spectrum of things, we are all attached to our phones and have them on us at all times…why not wear a case that makes you unique and adds a little fun to your look? Added bonus and probably the most important factor- its super protective. Sometimes cases that are protective can be bulky and I hate that! This one is really sleek and lightweight!

I hope everyone’s week is going well. I don’t know about all of you but I am ready for the weekend and some much needed relaxation! Leave me a comment with a few of your current faves- I’de love to see what everyone is loving this month!

Holy Grail Makeup Products

IMG_0305_FotorHi pretty ladies! Some of my favorite blog posts and videos are about holy grail products. In other worlds, its a bunch of items that you cannot live without! Today I wanted to share mine with all of you! To make things easier, I’ve selected one product from each makeup category and I will be listing them in the order in which I apply them. The items mentioned below are the makeup items that are my go-to’s, the ones that I have stocked in my collection at all times and the ones that I wear almost every single day (which explains why most of my pictures show the products hitting pan)! I highly, highly recommend these items and I’m sure if you’re a makeup lover like me, you’re already familiar with most of these.

Primer: Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

I love this primer because I have large pores and I tend to get oily in my T-Zone. This primer works wonders to make your foundation glide on your face smoothly and diminish lines and pores.

Foundation: Make Up Forever Ultra HD

Color Shown: 175/ R510

I’ve tried so many foundations and for whatever reason I always come back to this one. So far nothing compares. I would say I have combination skin depending on the time of year. When set properly, it lasts on my face all day. It’s medium to full coverage so it’s great as any everyday foundation. It’s and HD foundation and doesn’t have any SPF so it photographs beautifully! Sometimes when foundations have SPF in them, the flash on cameras can make your face look washed out in pictures and I hate that! This foundation doesn’t do that at all! It’s available in a large range of colors so no matter what shade my skin is, I’m able to match a color without having to mix several different foundations.

Concealer: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind

Color Shown: Brightener

I’m honestly surprised more bloggers don’t rave about this concealer. It is perfect for concealing under eyes and brightening all in one. I’ve tried concealer after concealer, high end and low end and they all crease on me. After I set this one, it stays put all day. The applicator on this product is so perfect for getting right in the corner of your eyes. Definitely something every one should give a try especially since it’s a drug store product and is super affordable.

Setting Powder: Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder

I don’t know what my face was like before this stuff but my God, I can’t live without it. The Laura Mercier Translucent powder is hands down my favorite product. It creates this vail on my face that makes everything look flawless. What’s great about this powder is it serves multiple purposes. I use it to set under my eyes, I use it as a setting powder for all over my face and I use it to bake my face. It’s so light and airy. Sometimes if my skin is looking oily, I pick up a little bit on a big fluffy brush and place it all over my face and it doesn’t look caked on or powdery. It just blends everything seamlessly without ruining the makeup already applied.

Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo

I’ve tried brow pencils, brow gels and brow creams and I always end up coming back to this product. The color is so pigmented and glides on really smooth making it easy to mimic the illusion of brow hairs. I’ve tried other brow powders but they’re either not pigmented enough or have too much fallout.

Eye Shadow Palette: Too Faced Chocolate Bar

So I have several neutral makeup palettes but the Too Faced Chocolate Bar is my all-time favorite. It has a mix of cool-tone and warm-tone colors for daily wear. It also has a few pops of color for days when I want to be a little extra. There’s a nice mix of matte’s and shimmery colors. When I travel, I always make sure I have this palette because I’m able to create any look with the range of colors. The shadows themselves are so pigmented and blendable with barely any fallout. Added bonus- like most of Too Faced items, it has a delicious smell that literally smells like chocolate!

Eyeliner: Prestige Eyeliner Pencil

Color Shown: Black

I have been using this product since the beginning of time! I’ve tried high-end eye liners that I have liked but when you factor in the price, there is no comparison! I use this to line my upper and lower water line. It is so pigmented, lasts all day long and doesn’t run. Also, not sure if anyone else is like me but I cannot stand waterproof eyeliners! I hate when it’s the end of a long day and you go to remove you’re eye makeup and it just smears all over your face (..and you end up looking like Beetlejuice LOL). I don’t like tugging on my eyes and causing wrinkles. I’m doing my part to preserve my face for as long as possible. I want something that lasts but can easily be removed and this pencil is so perfect for that!

Liquid Eyeliner: NYX Collection Noir Liquid Black Liner

So if you can’t tell, I have no problem comparing low end makeup to high end makeup and I have to say, the drugstore wins again when it comes to liquid eyeliner. This NYX liquid liner has rapidly become my favorite. The color is pigmented and the brush is super precise so you’re able to control the thickness of your line. I love that it dries quickly to a beautiful matte finish.

Bronzer: MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish

I have red undertones to my skin so during the summer when I’m a little more tan than usual, I need a bronzer that doesn’t make my skin look cakey. I use the MAC Skinfinish as an all over color to add a nice, bronze pigment to my skin without looking too dark. It has a shimmer to it but it is not too glittery so it leaves me with a beautiful, natural looking glow. This color is not for everyone because I do have a fairly dark complexion but the consistency of this bronzer is great and it comes in a range of colors for all skin tones.

Contour Powder: Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer

If you’ve read any makeup blogs or watched any YouTube guru’s, I’m sure you have heard an outpour of good things about this product. I am obsessed and I do not use any other bronzers to contour with. Up until I started watching YouTube videos, I thought this bronzer might be too light for my skin tone- it’s a very deceiving color in the pan. The first time I used it, I was hooked! It has a cool, almost grey undertone which gives the illusion of a shadow when applied to the skin. As an all-over bronzer, this would not work for my skin color but to carve out my cheekbones or contour my nose, it is so wonderful! I have yet to find a contour powder that is better.

Blush: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush

Color Shown: Dollface

To be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of blushes. I’m more of a bronzer girl and sometimes I even go without applying blush to my face. I wanted to mention this one because I love the color of it- it’s so pigmented and it lasts all day! Out of all of my blushes, this one is my go-to. It is a cool, light pink color that goes with every single look I wear. It gives my cheeks the pretties pop of color for a natural “blushed” look.

Highlighter: BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter

Stop whatever it is you’re doing and go buy this highlighter- I can’t rave enough about it! When I pop it on the top of my cheekbones, I instantly feel like a glowing goddess. It’s so shimmery but natural looking. What I love about it is that it has buildable color. If you apply a light swipe on your skin, it can be worn during the day without looking too overdone. Apply a few sweeps of this on the skin and now we’re talking! Get ready to be so over the top glowy and beautiful! I just love it!

Lip Liner: MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Lip Pencil

I don’t usually wear lip liners on the daily because to be honest, “aint nobody got time for that”! However, when I do decide to go the extra mile, 99.9% of the time, I’m wearing this color. It goes great with any nude or pink lipstick and its the perfect shade to overline your lips and make them look plump. It also lasts a long time. Once I apply it, rarely do I ever have to reapply.

Lipstick: MAC Cosmetics Lipstick

This was probably my hardest item to narrow down because I wear different lipsticks all the time. In general, MAC makes my favorite lipsticks because they have the largest range of colors and their pricing is affordable. The reason I chose this one is because it has been my favorite color for years and I always gravitate towards it on the daily. I know everyone has a hard time choosing the right nude lip color to match their skin tone but this one works so well for me. Its a light pink/ nude color and those tend to be my favorite kind.  I love that it has a satin finish so its not too glossy or too matte. It glides on really smooth. It smells pretty good too!

Mascara: Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Last but certainly not least, my favorite mascara is the Too Faced Better Than Sex. I’ve tried multiple brands and types of mascaras but I always make sure I have this one on hand. At first I didn’t understand what all the hype was about but as like most mascaras, once you use it a few times and it dries out a little, it works beautifully. I have pretty long, thick lashes to begin with but this one amps mine up to a whole new level and makes them really dark. I like the size of the brush and the consistency of the product. WARNING: this mascara tends to clump pretty easily but to be honest, I like the way clumpy mascaras look on my lashes.

Well guys, that concludes my holy grail makeup products. I hope you enjoyed this post and seeing all of my favorites. At the bottom of this post, I linked the names of the items again along with pricing and where I buy mine from. Leave me a comment with some of your favorite makeup- I’m always ready to test out new products!

OOTD | Summer Wedding Edition

Hi lovelies! Happy Friday!! I wanted to come on here real quick and show you all this gorgeous dress I wore this past weekend to a wedding I attended. I didn’t have a chance to post it sooner because this week has been hectic at work! I do however want to share this outfit because this dress is currently on major sale!

You’ll never believe it but this dress is the Jennifer Lopez Faux-Wrap Maxi Dress and I ordered it from! So unexpected, right? It looks like a dress you would find in a high-end store. I actually purchased several dresses for this wedding but I chose this one because all the others were solid black (my usual wedding attire) and I wanted to wear something a little out of my comfort zone. I also thought it would be perfect for a Summer wedding because the print and colors on it are so bright and fun!

Although it is not technically a formal dress, I paired it with heeled sandals and a diamond choker and I thought it looked really beautiful together. I got several compliments on it!

What’s great about this dress is that it is so versatile. You can dress it down and wear it to work or to a more casual dinner. It’s not like one of those dresses you wear once to an event and then never wear it again after. It’s also super comfortable and although it’s long sleeves, the material is very breathable.

This dress retails at $64 (which is already a steal) but I checked the website today and it is currently on sale for under $38. Also on their website, use the coupon code “Extra20” at checkout and receive an additional 20% off (now until July 9th)!! Highly, highly recommend! Xo

Summer Must Haves | Tanapama

Happy Wednesday my fashionistas! I don’t know about all of you but I am beyond thankful that we are already half way through the week. I hope everyone had a lovely 4th of July!

I’ve been ordering a bunch of things on-line lately and over the weekend, I received the most beautiful top from Tanapama. Tanapama is a new online clothing store with some of the most adorable, high quality and affordable clothes I’ve ever seen! Needless to say, I am obsessed!

This is the top I ordered and oh my goodness, how beautiful is it? It’s under $50 and when I saw it on the website, I just knew I had to have it! What I love about it is as like most of Tanapama’s items, it is super unique looking but something that will never go out of style. I know for sure I can wear this year after year and always look on trend.

It has this beautiful lace trim going all around the bottom and this really cute tassel tie in the back. What’s great is that it can be paired with leggings because it’s long enough to cover your booty but can also be worn with shorts or jeans. I wore it with white jeans to make the lace detail pop and I got so many compliments on it!

Since Tanapama is my new favorite online clothing store, I thought it would be fun to show you a couple of summer items in my cart that I love and think you would love too!

Click on the pics to easily shop these items.

If you couldn’t tell, I’m obsessed with lace and neutrals. Definitely check out to see all of the beautiful items they have.

I saved the best for last! Tanapama currently offers free shipping on U.S. orders over $100 and if you use the code lovetanapama at checkout, you’ll get 10% off your first purchase! Happy shopping!

DIY | Glam Garden

Welcome back! I hope everyone is ready for a beautiful 4th of July weekend! I for sure am! Summer is just kicking off and I couldn’t be more happy.

I wanted to share something a little different with you guys today. Its about something that I NEVER thought I would be into. For about a year now, my boyfriend has been bringing up the thought of building a garden in our yard. Its something I always thought would be great to have because I love tomato salad during the summer and how cool would it be to just pick a tomato from your backyard instead of having to go to a grocery store? Anyway, we talked about it, did our research and finally decided to go forth with it a few months ago.

I think the biggest problem for me was getting motivated enough to actually begin building it. As we were doing our research, a friend had recommended this super easy 8′ x 4′ pre-built Cedar Raised Garden Bed from Greenes Fence (also available on Amazon).

Screen Shot 2017-07-01 at 9.34.46 AM     PhotoCredit: Amazon

FYI- you can buy it for under $80. All of the boards are pre-measured and lock into place so there is no need for power tools or cutting. We ordered it and when it arrived we realized that it might not be large enough for what we were hoping to plant. They do however, have larger ones on their website and Amazon so if you want something really convenient, then this is perfect!

We researched a few design ideas on Pinterest and YouTube but nothing was really catching our eye. We then decided we were going to wing it and see how it goes. We started by digging out a 10′ x 10′ patch. Something important to keep in mind is that you need to find a place on your lawn that is mostly sunny. We have a lot of trees in our yard so this was a bit of challenge for us. We then placed the pre-bought Raised Garden Bed in the back of the 10′ x 10′ patch. We wanted to still use the Raised Garden Bed because it was really pretty looking and thought it would add a little extra wow factor to the overall appearance.

Photo 1

One of the problems we ran into was a design that was good for the eye and also good to keep deer and other animals out. We went to Home Depot to try and think of what we could do and we ending up buying 10′ Pressure-Treated lumbar to dig down into the lawn- this way no smaller animals can crawl under the fence. All we did was dig a tiny trench about 8″ deep around the perimeter and placed the boards in it. It took a little finessing to get them to line up but it wasn’t too hard. We drilled two- 4″ screws into the corners of the boards to keep them locked together and voila it was done. I would say this part of the project was the most difficult but for us, it was an important step. We live in an area where there are tons of Deers, Rabbits and Raccoons so the last thing we wanted was to plant vegetables and wake up the next day to find them all eaten.

The next part of protecting the veggies is to get a fence. We found this 4′ x 50′ Black Vinyl Welded Wire Fence at the Home Depot and thought it would be perfect. To keep the fence upright, we bought nine of these Steel Fence U-Posts which are great because they have clips on them that you can attach the fence to without any additional hardware.

We simply hammered the U-Posts into the corners about 12″ down and then placed one in the middle of each corner to keep the fence more stable. We took a heavy duty staple gun and stapled the bottom of the fence to the 10′ lumbar- a little added security so that no animals can crawl in between.

Because we’ve never done anything like this before, it was kinda difficult to gauge how much product we would actually need. We decided to go with eight bags of Miracle-Gro All Purpose Garden Soil, one bag of Peat Moss and one bag of Jobe’s Organic Granular All-Purpose Fertilizer.  We placed four bags of the Soil in each compartment of the Raised Bed and then mixed half of the bag of the Peat Moss in each.

Next was the fun part- the actual planting! In one of the beds, we planted five tomatoes and in the other we planted three cucumbers and four peppers. We tried to equally space them out as much as possible. When we dug the hole for each plant, we sprinkled a tbsp. of the Fertilizer in before placing the plant. I also bought those adorable plastic garden label sticks at the Home Depot and simply wrote the names of each of the plants on them. I’ve seen similar ones that are mini chalkboards to give it a more rustic look- those would be so cute! Just a reminder, tomatoes grow on vines so its important to get some sort of a stake to allow the plant to grow on. We picked up these Bamboo Plant Stakes and stuck one right next to each of the tomato plants. A few days ago, we got wire and started tying the tomatoes to the stakes because they’re already growing so much!

In the rest of the space within the 10′ patch, we decided not to buy Top Soil. We simply raked the existing dirt as much as we could and planted directly into it (don’t forget to sprinkle the Fertilizer in). On one side, we planted three Eggplants, two Cauliflower and one Arugula. On the other side, we planted three Zucchini and two Spaghetti Squash. There is plenty of more room for more plants but because we’re new at this, we wanted to keep it somewhat small and see how it does this year. We bought all of the plants from Home Depot because of the convenience of it but next year we definitely plan on going to a more local garden supply for lower prices and more options. One of our biggest mistakes was that we didn’t start this project sooner. We completed it at the beginning of June so the plants are a little late. We have high hopes for them!

As an added touch and the reason this post is called “Glam Garden”, we picked up these beautiful Terra Cotta Stepping Stones . I wanted something that would look nice and also serve as a spot I could step on to pick my veggies without standing in the dirt. Aren’t they so cute?

Overall, we are so happy with how it turned out- we can’t stop staring at it. Its fun to try and do something out of your comfort zone. It was a nice, little bonding project for my boyfriend and I and we had a great time figuring it all out.  It took us a few weekends to complete but we’re hoping we get some really beautiful vegetables out of it. In no way, shape or form are we gardeners. This is our first time trying it and with a little advise from family and friends, I think we did a really good job. I guess by the end of the summer, we’ll have a better idea of how good we did when I get to actually walk in my backyard and have my very own vegetables to enjoy!
